Community Cuppa Overwhelmed With Visitors

Church Aston Church Hall has been hosting the Warm Space event over the winter period welcoming everyone through its doors and offering a place to keep warm, food, internet and power. Wednesday mornings saw people popping in to take advantage and meet others. Organisers extended the event into the afternoon, calling it the Community Cuppa, which became a hit as it offered additional activities including Yoga, drawing and craft classes all for free.

As all good things must come to an end the Warm Space saw it’s last session this week by hosting the Afternoon Tea event to say thankyou to all that have attended over the months. The event proved far more popular than the organisers anticipated. Dani Talbot, activities co-ordinator said all the staff were overwhelmed with the turn out and look forward to seeing many of them again as the Community Cuppa continues. She goes on to say Church Aston really did make a difference to the community. The final event was a perfect way to round up the warm space with over 80 people from all ages and backgrounds.
