Update from The Newport Foodbank
Written by Harvey Williamson on January 3, 2021
What a year! We have supported and fed so many local families over COVID and 2020.
Huge THANK YOU for all the support and incredible generosity the town, villages and schools have given us. As we start 2021 there are even more families facing difficult situations, please get in touch if things are tough. We can help with food but also accessing benefits, housing, even filling in forms. You can message us on Facebook, email email@example.com or call 01952 811734 or 07966134354.
We are delighted to announce we will be continuing the breakfast parcel provision – access through your school if you need the help. More details to follow.
The people of Newport were incredibly generous in the run up to Christmas and even having given out multiple Christmas hampers, we are fully stocked. We will reopen donation points in Newport in mid/late January – could you please hold any donations until then.
Finally, can I please thank again our wonderful team of volunteers for such dedication and hard work. We will need one or two more helpers available on a Thursday morning or Wednesday daytime – please message us here if you might be able to help. I’m afraid we can’t take anyone who was in a shielded category.
