Millie is doing more miles!
Written by Harvey Williamson on November 8, 2020
This is little Millie and she is back! I’ve told Millie that the ‘big boss of the world’ has said that we all need to stay at home with our mummy & daddy for a while to make sure the nannies and grandads are extra safe now it’s getting colder…..Millie wanted to know if we could see our family and her friends and I had to explain that she will only see them at nursery now and hopefully we can see our family soon maybe when the silly elf comes to visit!
Millie has asked me if we can buy the nannies and grandads a Christmas gift with the money in her piggy bank, that she was saving for a toy she has really been wanting, so that it can cheer them up again! I’ve suggested that we could do some lovely winter walks like we did last time to see if the wonderful Newport & beyond people could help us to raise enough money to get all the nannies and grandads a little gift and Millie could help to wrap them and do a socially distanced drop off!
As always she was raring to go! So my question is ladies and gents can you support a little girl with a big heart to bring some Christmas cheer and love to our elderly care home residents?
We are hoping to get a small gift of either chocolate, sweets or a none food gift for those who are not able to have chocolate or sweets for each resident. It will be something small of course due to the numbers involved but I’m sure it will bring lots of smiles! If you are reading this and are from or know somebody who is from any of our Newport care homes please can you tag them in this post so that I can get an idea of numbers to help us work out a realistic target amount we need to achieve to enable us to do this Come on Newport……let’s help Millie do this https://paypal.me/pools/c/8u2BeXYill
