Newport pupils promote local talent show
Written by Dean Churm on January 23, 2019
Pupils from Haberdasher’s Adams school popped into Nova FM on Tuesday to talk about the very first Newport’s Got Talent event being held in March.
Jake, Meg, Arriffe, Bon, and Joe explained that it’s open to any pupil at Burton Borough, Newport Girls’ High School or Haberdashers’ Adams, and proceeds will go to VICTA, a charity supporting blind and visually impaired children and young adults.
Sparkle the unicorn, played by an anonymous teacher from a local school, is hosting the show and is looking for talented performers from any background: singers, dancers, magicians, gymnasts, and comedians. We can expect the true identity of Sparkle to be revealed in the near future!
Newport’s Got Talent will be held on Saturday 16 March with auditions on Friday 8 February. Application forms are available from the Haberdashers’ Adams website. Further information about rehearsals and tickets are also available on the form.
