Police appeal for witnesses after Church Aston burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Church Aston, near Newport.

The burglary happened between 6pm on Saturday 5 January and 1.30pm on Sunday 6 January at an address in The Close.  Among the items stolen were a yellow diamond necklace and a Rolex Oyster watch, “Jack, Love forever Poppy” is engraved on the back of the watch.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are asking any witnesses to the burglary, or anyone who has been offered similar items for sale including second hand shops to get in contact.
DC Gareth Bee said: “The watch has an engraving on the back of it so will be instantly identifiable, if anyone has been offered either of these items for sale or has any information about the burglary we would ask them to get in contact.”
