Grant helps improve Edgmond path

Written by on January 15, 2019

Work has been completed on improvements to a vital path link in Edgmond meaning better access for the village primary school.

Thanks to a grant from the Pride in our Community fund, the path from Shrewsbury Road car park to the school has been redefined and the surface improved, meaning it can now be used by the school’s walking bus.

Councillor John Minor, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Leisure, Green Spaces and Parks, said: “The path in Edgmond is the route of the school walking bus and over a number of months has been the subject of many complaints and concerns.  This work means that it is safely passable for pupils going to the school as well as everyone else in the village.”

Further information on Pride in our Community funding is available from the Telford and Wrekin Council website
